Bushfire Alert As Winds Fan Flames

Hundreds of people were on alert after high temperatures and strong winds fanned bushfires in several parts of eastern Australia. Many of the blazes were sparked by lightning strikes and fuelled by dry conditions. Sky’s Ian Woods reports.

Car Bomb Near Belfast Police HQ

A car bomb has partially detonated close to the Policing Board headquarters in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The back of the vehicle caught fire and two men were seen escaping. Sky’s Vicki Hawthorne reports.

Fears Key Bridge May Soon Collapse

After major flooding in Cumbria, there are fears a key bridge could be about to collapse. Engineers are monitoring the Calva bridge which has dropped about 1ft from its normal position and a crack has appeared. Andrew Wilson and Tom Parmenter reports.
